On my laptop I usually use Charter cable internet but have AOL
installed so I can connect while I am on the road. AOL likes to
take over the computer and wants to log on when I don't want it to.
How can I have AOL available to only one user ?

Thanks

When you installed AOL, you probably allowed AOL to be
the default mail application. Bad move, if you did.

Anyway...two possible fixes in in Internet Explorer:

Tools/Internet Options:

1. Select Connections tab
Make sure "Never dial a connection" is selected.

2. Select the Programs tab
Make sure the appropriate application is the
default mail application, and NOT AOL.

There is a "Reset Web Settings" button and the check box to make IE the
default browser on the Programs page too. Suggest using both of those as
well as adjusting the email program.

Thanks Sharon. I missed that one.
