Windows Vista How can I get my email to open in Firefox?

Im not sure if it can be done, and it's not really a BIG issue, but would be more convinient I guess so...

Is there a way, when using MSN Messenger, that when I click on the email box to open up my hotmails it will open up on the Firefox browser

It currerntly opens up in Internet Explorer which isn't my default browser

Hi G~Man, my Hotmail always opens up in FF - I didn't have to do anything in particular, other than making FF my default browser

The Mozilla documentation says that some applications are hard coded to use IE:

http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Setting+Firefox+as+the+default+browser+does+not+work (check the last paragraph)

However, try setting FF as the default browser using those instructions and see if it helps

If that doesn't work, apparently using this plugin (with Messenger Plus) will let you use FF to open your mail. (source)

I have Windows Live Hotmail and Windows Live Messenger, but the "old" Messenger used to work fine too. The only add ons I have in FF are Talkback (for programme crashes) and DOM Inspector (inspects the structure and properties of a window and its contents) ..nothing else though.

like i said, it isnt that much of an issue, I suppose I feel safer when using FireFox
