How can I get Access97 & AccessXP to run on the same pc?

I thought just simply installing in separate folders....but I read a guy say
this:

"relating to the Workgroup file and how the registry works with it and which
version it finds. If it can't find the right one it creates a default one
which then becomes active or something like that. It's a hassle. If you
can't figure it out because Microsoft doesn't have this somewhat obscure
combination's behavior documented"

You can install in separate folders - use the custom install.

Not sure what the comments relate to, but I do know that each version
of Access tries to make itself the default when you run it.

You may like to try this shareware utility:

ACCVER - Allows you to work with
multiple versions of MS Access databases.
Detects the version of Access used to create
your MDB, MDE or MDA files and either reports
the version number or starts the appropriate
version of MS Access.
An additional option allows you to compact
the database from a right-click menu item.
