How can I ge tmy sum to show the + sign for positive sums?

I am summing up two cells and want the + sign to show for the positive sums
and the - sign to show for the - signs....anyone know how this is possible?
 
Select the cells where you want to apply the formatting and then in Format >
Cells > Number > Category > Custom > Type

If you have decimal places select C1 which is the formula cell and then right
click-->Format Cells>Custom and enter +#.00;-#.00

A1 = 1.21
B1 = 2.23
C1 = A1+B1
