I have a presentation that I received and I need to extract the audio so i
can play it using another player that can utilize a footpedal.

Hi Lucy,

I did that, but there are no sound files at all. there are only .gif .jpeg
..xml .htm .css .mso .wmf .js and .emz what's weird is that on my computer
that has Vista if I just double click on the sound icon in the slide, it
opens automatically in my designated .wav player, but on any computer with xp
(we have several people working on this as well with only xp) it only gives
you the option to play or open and it uses some odd little player I haven't
seen. If you have any ideas that would be great. Thanks!

Powerpoint 2007 on Vista and on xp. Could it be sound that was not embedded
but linked? but then when anyone receives this, they can play it with the
little player that pops up through powerpoint but not on a player of their
choosing. Only Vista allows me to use a player of my choosing.

How did you receive the presentation? Did it come with other files? If you
select the sound icon -> sound tools -> options tab -> press the little box
in the bottom right hand corner of the sound options area -> what does it
say under 'information'? If it says 'contained in presentation' it is
embedded.

I don't have a sound tools tab. I don't know how to make it appear in the
ribbon.
