How can I export a .ppt file to a DVD?

I'm almost ready to turn to Apple b/c they have several
ways in fact, to convert a Powerpoint file to a
DVD "movie". Being a novice to movie files, I'm in
desperate search to learn what I need. I have Powerpoint
2000, a new kick-butt Dell system with a DVD burner and
many .ppt files that have photos and .wav files .... I'd
like to convert these onto DVDs so that I can give them to
people as a "movie" ... please, does ANYONE know how?
