Hi guys,

i have a win ce device with a usb connector and want to establish a IP
connection to an pc over this device.
An normal usp network adapter is not working because the win ce device
is a slave and not a master.
So my question, do anybody knows a solution to establich a ip connection
over usb?

Hi Emlar!!!

Try using Microsoft's ActiveSync. This is a very cool application that
acts like a smart dial-up service, and will allow you to have a communication
via TCP/IP through the USB cable. If configured properly, it can also allow
you to see other computers or even the Internet from your handheld.

Hope it helps!!!

Hi Elmar!!!

The first thing that should be checked is that the PDA that you want to
use has a web server. I'm not sure, but I think that Windows CE does not have
one, only Pocket PC.

Once this has been solved, try using ActiveSync in order to access the
PDA from your computer and see what happens. After all, ActiveSync does give
an IP address to the handheld.

After that, you might need to create a web service in your computer in
order to re-route the information from any PC to your PC and then to your
handheld.

Hope it helps!!!!
