From Excel specification limits:
"Data series in one chart 255
Data points in a data series for 2-D charts 32,000
Data points in a data series for 3-D charts 4,000
Data points for all data series in one chart 256,000"
Where does your limit of 32 come in?

Are you trying to use non-contiguous cells from your worksheet as your data
range?
The best bet is to include a new range in your worksheet. From consecutive
cells in the new range you can link in turn to each of your non-contiguous
points, then the chart can be plotted from your new range.
