how can i edit a pdf? in word or powerpoint

I have been given a pdf brochure, which, i need to edit. I have copied into
word and powerpoint but still cannot edit text or pictures???
 
You cannot edit PDF documents in Office programs. Some Adobe programs can
edit them (depends on how the PDF was created). But normally you need the
document, which was the source of the PDF, edit that and create a new PDF.
