How can I do this

I have 2 versions of WORD on my computer.
The first is WORD 97, located: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office\WINWORD.EXE"

The second is WORD 2002 and it is not clear to me where it is located (I
have the shortcut on my desktop, but when I right click and look at the
General Tab, it doesn't indicate where it is located -- I know it came with
my computer, part of WORKS SUITE 2002).

Anyway, when I click on a .doc file, it opens with WORD 2002.

I want it to open with WORD 97. I can't seem to get it to do this. I try and
right click on a .doc file and use the Open With command, but I can't seem
to get it to open with WORD 97. Even when I point it to the WINWORD.EXE
file, it then specifies WORD and again open with WORD 2002. Any idea what I
might be doing wrong??

I suspect that your word 97 may have been updated to Word 2002 and
that 97 no longer exists. Why not use 2002 anyway? If you don't like
some of it's new features you can make it look & feel like 97 by
tweaking a few settings.
