I am attempting to delete an account that Was accidentally created. when I
do, I have two options, Saving data from the account to a folder on my
desktop, or deleting it. Niether of which will allow the proccess to happen.
Saving the data, I get the Message "A required privelege is not held by the
Client". with the Delete data option, I get "Permission denied". Windows XP.
HELP! fixing this should fix other problems I am having.

If you want to delete the user profile you should use Control
Panel/system/advanced/user profile - settings and select the profile and
delta while logged on as a local administrator. You can use the command net
localgroup administrators to see what users are administrators if not sure.
Otherwise to access the profile logon as a local administrator, take
ownership of the user profile folder being sure to select the option to
replace owner on subcontainers and objects, and then give yourself full
control permissions. The links below explain more on taking ownership of a
folder and changing NTFS folder permissions. If you are using XP pro and any
of the file are encrypted by EFS for that user you will not be able to
access the files [you can delete them however] unless you can logon as that
user account without resetting the password for it. --- Steve
