if I go into the search program on vista I can find all my deleted e-mails ,
all my e-mail address's , even all the messages I read on this newsgroup are
stored there...I am not real crazy about this feature , it was scary the
first time I went to look for something and up popped an e-mail that I had
deleted from one of my buddies descibing all the women he had met on his
vacation , I had no idea it was saved , and is not something i would want on
my computer ,I dont want the kids or anyone else seeing something they
shouldnt , is there a way to stop vista from saving everything ??

thnx..

First of all, the search results are specific to that user.
If kids use the machine, they should have their own (reduced) login.
Someone logged in to another user name can't search for your emails.

If you don't want separate user logins, then you will have to modify
what's available to be searched.
Go to Start, Help and Support, and search on "Modify Search Index".
It will explain the procedure somewhat, but frankly, the procedure may
be intimidating for a novice user.

Delete the message from the deleted items folder and then it should be gone.
