I have been archiving my e-mail files for the last two years. I create a new
..pst archive file every 6 months (i.e. Backup_1_03_email.pst,
Backup_7_03_email.pst) and only archive those files within that date range.
Recently I needed to retrieve an old e-mail so I imported the backup .pst
file. I checked "do not allow duplicates" but I got duplicates anyway. I
actually got 6+ copies of each.
To eliminate the duplicates I tried to export all the e-mails (in my
mailbox) into a new "Backup_mail.pst" file with "do not allow duplicates"
checked. The I deleted all the e-mails in my mailbox and imported the
archived files. Unfortunately it did not work. I still have 6+ copies of
each e-mail.
I know I could go through individually and delete the duplicates but that is
a lot of work.
Is there an easier way to get the job done? Is there some type of e-mail
explorer program that will let me manage the e-mails like files in Windows?
Thanks,
Mike
