I have an outbound Email that is stuck in my Outlook 2007 Outbox. The
attachment on the message is extremely large (186MB), and the Send process
keeps erroring and terminating. I can't do anything with/to the message,
because "Outlook has already begun transmitting the message." Outlook
continues to attempt to send the message, and continues to fail because of
the size.

I've tried shutting down and restarting Outlook to get a chance to Delete
the message, but it remains in this limbo mode. I also tried working Offline
but no change. Any ideas on how to stop this cycle and remove the problem
message?

  1. [*]Exit Outlook if you have it open.
[*]On the taskbar, click Start, and then click Run.
[*]In the Open box, type Outlook /safe. Note There is a space between Outlook and the forward slash (/).

    [*]Click OK.
[*]Try to delete the e-mail message in your Outbox.

If you are still unable to delete the file then goto this link and follow option 3. I hope this is of some help to you. Next time you have such large files to move, try zipping/compressing them first..

Madxgraphics... Thank you for your help. I was finally able to get rid of the email by going off-line and then deleting the file. I had tried that 8-10 times before and never got it to work. I guess the stars were shining.
Thanks again for your help. Hal
