how can i delete all the unwanted files of my c: drive?

i have some files i wat to get rid of and i'm not shure
if its safe to delete them. some folders have nothing in
it. like WUTemp can i just delete it? theres also some
programs that i uninstal on my Progams files and i just
want to get rid of them! is there a safe way to do thi
without getting pop up threats or errors? please email me

1. You should not delete things from which you do not know what they
are.
2. If you know this and are unsure whether to remove an item, create a
new folder and move the file to that folder to see if this causes
problems. If not, the file is probably useless.
3. The WUTEMP folder can be deleted safely. It is recreated when you
visit the Windows Update site.
4. Uninstall applications via the Control Panel > Add and remove
Programs.
