How can I customize tables like I used to in Microsoft Word?

I just recently switched from windows 98 to windows XP. As a result I don't
have use of Microsoft Word as I knew it. I used to create documents using
tables so I can have many "boxes" with information in them. I was used to
being able to customize how it looks easily.

Now I'm totally frustrated. I don't seem to have the same control I once
did. Does anyone know something I haven't figured out yet? I've gone
through all the tools and the one I'm looking for doesn't seem to be there.

you are in the wrong place. This is an Access newsgroup. You would most
likely get better assistance if you went to the Word newsgroup and posted
your question.

This newsgroup is for problems involving Microsoft Access database
software, not for Microsoft Word.

If you've changed to a new version of Word as well as Windows, the table
formatting commands have changed. You do most of it through the Table
Properties dialog. I think there's some information at
http://word.mvps.org ; if you can't find what you need there, ask in a
Word newsgroup.
