I am new to access but love using it. I have setup a database for m
wife who does daycare. Trying to create a report for billing he
customers but need help with how it looks.

I have one that displays all of the detail like number of hours pe
week, number of kids, and totals. My wife wants me to take a month o
data and break it down by weekly totals. She does not want to see th
details. My problem is I am not sure how to create a queries to jus
display a weekly total by month.. Below is kind of what I am lookin
at?

Currently my report looks something like this.

Child name: Sara

Dates: 01/01/01
Dates: 01/02/02
Dates: 01/03/01
Dates: 01/04/02
Dates: 01/05/01
Dates: 01/06/02

*************************************
What I want it something that looks like this.

Child name: Sara

Billing for week of 01/01/04
Billing for week of 01/07/04
Billing for week of 01/14/04
Billing for week of 01/31/04

Can this be done with access?
Any help would be great

You can use the report's grouping feature (in the View menu), and group
by week in the report. Use the group footer (you have to set that to
Yes) to display the 'totals' for that week in.

Just a remark: there is not a whole number of weeks in any month. Well,
some Februaries maybe.
