I want a special folder as Tools next to Pictures.
The special folders colored as blue as you know.

These special folders have a property, you can
modify the location. I just created Tools folder and
made a shortcut next to Pictures but it's not useful.
I want a real special folder.

Let us know. There's a way to get it done for sure in the reg, and sorry
that wouldn't work.

This is something that I am very interested in doing as well. If the folder
location is a whole drive partition, you could always use a NTFS Volume
Mount Point, like you could in XP. The partition would then be treated
exactly as it was the folder that was mounted.

But obviously this is not ideal, as I want a few more much smaller special
folders, which do not warrant a whole drive partition.

I think the solution that we are looking for involves 'junctions', but when
I look into these I start getting confused and give up. If you get any
further with this I would appreciate you telling me about your findings.

Maybe you can start off by trying to understand this:

I have all the folder icons, heh. I just want to be able to use them, and
truly organise my files and partitions. If you search www.devaintart.com
for 'Vista Folders', there are lots of extra icons there.
