How can I create a new template form for a new folder?

I am having trouble saving a newly designed form and having it be the default
form for a specific folder. I do not know how/where to save it and what
extension to use.(assuming that is how it is done) Outlook 2003 seems to be
lacking in providing a default template directory when trying to save a new
form.
Please help.

Sue,

OK, thanks, I am getting much closer. Two other problems.

1. How can I delete a form I have created?
2. On opening the newly created form I am getting the message:
"The property does not exist. The filed you want to modify is not valid
for this type of item"
What the heck does that mean??

1) Right-click the folder, bring up its Properties dialog, go to the Forms tab, and click Manage.

2) Usually it means exactly what it says -- that you added a field to the form that isn't allowed. So, the next qustion is: What fields did you add?

Sue,

Why the heck did it let me add a field that is lot allowed?
How do you know which fields are allowed? I will try to flush this
out and post with me results.

Thanks very much,

Dennis Gavin

I don't know why Outlook lets you do that. As you've found, it's confusing. For best results, use only the fields from the All Contact Fields and add any others you need as new custom fields.
