How Can I Create a 2003-Compatible Template in 2007?

I have Office 2007 loaded on my computer. I designed a template for my client
that he is thrilled with -- except it doesn't work. Reason: he has a Mac
running 2003 (and he is unwilling to upgrade). All I want to do is access
2003 so that I can fix his template for him *or* find a workaround in 2007.
They're totally different products, so the defaults he gets when I save the
2007 template down are completely dysfunctional. Any suggestions?

What happens when you do a File, SaveAs and select PowerPoint 97-2003
template (*.pot) as the save style for the template?

Is he really using Office 2003 on a MAC running Windows or is he using
Office 2004 on the MAC operating system?
 
You know, if you don't have 2003 and it's a real hassle to access, you can
always hire someome to develop the 2003 version of your template.

Quite frankly, the best advice I can give you is to develop the 2003
template in 2003 and 2007 templates in 2007. It's very difficult to
develop a true 2003 template using 2007 and vice-versa.
