i was going to recommend Bravehost (which is free too)- but probably the best bet is: http://sites.google.com/ like Ian said.
i learned alot on free hosters (like the now-dead GeoCities) before i went the pay route.

There are couple of free web building and hosting platforms out there. Most of these are FREE and requires little or no programming knowledge.
