How can I convince my co-workers to keep their calendars up to dat

You guys are so great! You've really helped me with my calendar work - and I
have a huge volume of it... I keep my two director's calendars updated and
try to keep their 10 managers and 3 educators up to date, but it's difficult
to do when they don't put things on their own calendars.
For example, recently one of my directors wanted a meeting with all of her
managers and educators. . . that's 8 people (not including the director).
I found a time and date when they were all available and booked a room for
it, only to discover that only TWO of them would actually be available!! I
had to re-book this meeting three times because so many of them hadn't kept
their calendars up to date. I'm sure you can imagine how frustrating that is!
Any tips for getting them to be a little more reliable? I'm not their boss
so really can't "force" them to!

I'm sure they have electronic agendas on their pda's ... Just make sure they
synchronise those with their Outlook every time it's connected to the
dongle.
 
Thank you, Robert. I'm afraid they aren't much better at keeping their pda's
updated than they are their calendars. But I'm working on getting them
organized :D
 
Can you influence the top cat to motivate the managers to use their
corporate tool (Outlook)? If it's meant to be a business process then ALL
of them need to use it.

Ask them what they're worried about..... they may not understand how to mark
meetings private. Also they probably need to be trained in how to use the
Calendar. I have met many senior managers who really bumble about and it
takes them forever to do simple Calendar stuff.
