You need to use an audio editing application. There are plenty out there. A
simple, and free, one is Goldwave (www.goldwave.com). Just open the .wma, go
to Save As, choose .wav as the format and you are done.

You will need to look for wma to wav convertor through search engines.

Quick follow-up. PowerPoint "can" embed .wav files up to 50MB, but the
default setting is for 100k (very small). Adjust the embed size by going to
TOOLS >> OPTIONS >> GENERAL tab >> make the "100" to "50000" >> click OK

In addition to what everyone else has said, depending on your version of
PowerPoint. PowerPoint can play WMA files, which are normally a lot smaller
filesize.
