How can I control which program IE6 uses to open a tif
file. On some pc's it uses quick time and on others it
uses kodak imaging. In other words if I have a hyperlink
that points to a tif, how can I force IE to use a specific
program.

You can do this with the File Types list avilable from the Windows Explorer.
Steps (specifically for WinXP. Other versions of Windows may vary slightly):

1) Open the Start menu, choose All Programs and then Accessorites.
2) Choose Windows Explorer
3) Open the Tools menu in WE and choose Folder Options
4) Choose the File Types tab in the dialog that comes up
5) Scroll down the list until you reach TIF. Alternately, put mouse-focus in
the window and quickly type "tif".
6) Under the list is information about what program will be used to open TIF
files. Click the "Change" button and choose the program you prefer.

Hope this helps!
