how can i close my port 5000?

hi i ran a symantec security check,it suggested that my
port 5000 was vulnerable to an outside attack and it
should be closed or put to stealth.will this affect the
computer adversely?how can i close /stealth this?
 
This port is used with UPnP which is closed by disabling
this service. My mcafee fireward test detected this port
also and it turned off UPnP for me. But you can just do
it yourself. Programs, Control Panel, Admin Tools,
Services and disable it.
