How can I change the default calendar?

I had Office re-installed in my laptop, and now I have 6(!) different
calendars! The default one is simply called Calendar, but it is empty, while
all appointments are in 'Calendar in Personal Folders' (the old one). When I
schedule anything in the old one, I get a message saying that I will not be
able of getting any reminders and that is not my default calendar.
Now I have 2 questions:
1) How can I set the old calendar as the default one?
2) How can I have reminders working again?
3) If none of this is possible, how can I transfer all the data in the old
one to the new empty calendar without losing any information?
Thanks in advance for your help,
AV

Click Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next In the "Deliver new mail to the following
location" drop-down at the lower left, choose the location containing the
old calendar. Stop and restart Outlook.
2) How can I have reminders working again?

Reminders work in the default folders. Make the default the correct folders
and reminders will work there.

Thanks for you quick answer! However, I'm afraid it didn't work. I get this
message saying that either I disable the offline folders or I select a
Personal Folders that supports Unicode. What does this mean and what shall I
do?

Thanks a lot,
AV

Let's start by you describing in more detail what you see. What was in that
"deliver new e-mail" drop-down? What type of account are you using? What
version of Outlook?

Hi Brian,

I'm using MO Outlook 2003 SP2.

In the drop-down box I have 3 alternatives: one is a folder called AV, and I
have 2 Personal Folders (one is almost empty, is old one, but as their are
named exactly the same way, I don't know which is which).

I want to change the mail from one PF to the other one. When I choose one
of them, nothing happens, so I presume that's the one 'active'. When I
choose the other PF, I get this message saying "The Personal Folders file
(*.pst) selected does not match the format of your Offline Folder (*.ost).
To correct this, select a Personal Folder file that supports Unicode or
disable the use of offline folders."

I have this account in the office, and as I have a laptop quite often I use
Outlook offline, at home.

Thanks!

Regards,
AV

Just "AV"? Not "Mailbox - AV"?

This makes me believe you're actually using an Exchange account, but could
you verify it for me? Click Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next and see if there's
an Exchange account in there.

Yes I am.

OK, then. It appears you have an Outlook 97-2002 PST and an Exchange
account with Outlook 2003. Barring any site-specific considerations, you
should be using the Exchange mailbox as your delivery location. That will
allow reminders to work and it will allow others to see your free/busy
information and for you to share your folders, if you so choose or need to
do so. Were I in your shoes and wanted to retain the old PST, I'd also make
a new Unicode PST and copy the information in the old PST to the new one so
there are no non-Unicode issues.
