I want to change the email address that I use for newsgroups. I am using
Yahoo for mail, and that has not been a problem in the past. I changed my
address by going to Tools>Accounts>News>Properties, and entered the new
email address. However, when I send a message to newsgroups and check my
message, it still shows the old address. Likewise, if I click on "read
mail," the username associated with the old email address is shown (which I
realize may not be an error). It is obvious that I entered this information
at some point, but I can't find any place in IE to enter or edit personal
identification. There don't seem to be any preferences or options for this
data.

Can someone help?

Thanks,
MaryL

You are not using IE for newsgroups.
You are using OE6 at the moment.
Try altering the information in OE rather than IE.
If you can't find the place, then try an OE6 group.
(Sorry, I don't use OE myself)

Thanks for the information. One of your links got me started, and I was
able to change the name that appears when I post to newsgroups. I
stillhaven't found a way to edit the complete account information (only to
"add" another account), so I have posted the question to the OE6 group you
listed.

Again, thanks.
