How can I best share picutures, streaming movies and docs with others?

I am trying to come up with an easy way to share family pictures,
streaming video, and documents primarily with family members but also
with some vendors. I have seen a number of sites that let you upload
documents, but they don't have any easy way to create an albulm. OR
they may require everyone to belong (so you can not easily send stuff
to family members). By the time you get finished paying the monthly
cost, you can probably buy an inexpenisve machine and use it as a
server at home (we have cable modem so we leave the computers on
always anyway).

What I would like to be able to do is:
1. Be able to quickly and easily create multiple albulms of pictures
and share them with family and friends
2. Be able to share home video with family and friends, I would like
the video to be able to stream so the end user doesn't need to
download the whole file
3. I would like a secure area to keep personal documents that we share
with our legal adivisor (life insurance docs, wills, etc).
4. I would like a secure area to send links to large files (similiar
to what you can do with YahooBriefCase. You send an email to an
uploaded doc and the user has a week to view it)
5. As I am not a techy it would be nice if all of this were fairly
easy to do and didn't require a lot of technical knowledge. Plus I
don't want to spend a fortune for a ton of software.

Any ideas on how to accomplish all of this?

For the picture part it's hard to beat Smugmug's price, ease, and unlimited
storage (www.smugmug.com). For $30/year, you get that, but to include
video, you would need to pay $50/year, both are quite affordable. They do
not, however, host other kinds of files, so you would have to look elsewhere
for that.

You could try to host everything yourself but you would have to shop around
for price per storage.
