Here's the sitch! I have obtained the names of the members of certain trade
associations who are great propects for what I sell/market. But the doc (s)
are siimply saved in Word. How then.......do I get these into my Outlook
files so that I can, in turn, select and send the ones to whom I want a
mailing house to send my mailers/pieces etc.? Just do NOT TELL ME I have to
keystroke all of those hundreds of names and addresses into Outlook. I don't
have that much time left on mother earth!!!!! HELP! Tell me how to do it!

Your best bet is to convert them from Word into Excel.

Is the information stored in Word in some type of table? If you can get
the table into Excel with cut-n-paste, then you can map the Excel
columns to BCM fields and import it using the BCM wizard.

If not in a table, then your only other option is to save them to a
text file and then write a program to read the names and addresses form
the file and write them to a CSV file, and use the BCM wizard to
import the CSV file.

Hi,

You can do this in a few seconds with a program called Email Address
Collector. First save the contents of the doc as a txt file and then
just choose the txt file and the program will extract all the email
addresses from that txt file and directly export them to Outlook into
one or more contact folders or you can save them as a CSV list.

Thank you very much. Although I have only retrieved this moments ago...I'll
look into it! Appreciate the tip!
