I would like to add line numbers to the lines of my powerpoint presentation,
but I cannot find any help to do this.

Maybe I've misunderstood the question, but I can do this with PP 2002.
1. Apply a slide layout including bullet points.
2. Select the box containing the bullets.
3. Use [Format]-[Bullets and Numbering]-[Numbered] and select a format.

The first bullet point will change to a number. Whan you hit a newline you
will get the next number in sequence and so on.

You're right, I was probably thinking this couldn't be what he/she was
after! FYI - the "Numbering" icon is on the Formatting toolbar. Not sure,
but it might not be visible if the user has both toolbars on the same row.
This is the first thing I do when installing (putting the Standard and
Formatting toolbars on separate rows.

Thanks for the sanity check! Hopefully this is what twj408 was looking for.
THANKS!
