I am trying to increase the capacity of the nbackup file. I want to leave
more messages in my folders. How can I increase the capacity of backup pst
file. Thanks.

What version of Outlook are you using? The capacity of the .PST file is 2GB
for Outlook 2002 and earlier versions and it cannot be increased, but the new
Unicode .PST format in Outlook 2003 allows for virtually unlimited storage.
The old .PST format also had limits on the number of items and subfolders a
folder could contain.

I am running Outlook 2003 now. I had the problem on an earlier version at
around 2GB. I guess that will not be a problem with the newer version? Are
you saying that the only limiting factor in 2003 is the size of the hard
drive that it is installed in? Thanks for your reply!

Yep, that's what I'm saying :-) Just make sure the backup file is created
by Outlook 2003 in its default Unicode format and not the old Outlook 97-2002
format which will have the 2GB limitation no matter what Outlook version it's
used with.

Thanks again. I will verify the format.
