I have these, what apear to be boxes with a smaller box inside, the smaller
box has a red "X" in it.

Make sure you actually have a web created and open, not just a page. File |
Import your images to a folder in your web before inserting on a page.

I'm not referring to c panel or the remote web

You need to open your FP web (File > Open > Web). Select the web (folder)
and click Open. Then you can open your pages, import your images etc.

How did you insert the image on the page - exact steps?

What type of image - .gif, .jpg, .bmp? If .jpg, was it saved in rgb
format?

Publish the page and pictures to a website and post a link to the page.

Ron, thank you for responding.

I tried to do >Insert >Picture and it would go on the page, but i couldn't
move it from it's location (Top left hand corner, seems to get stuck there,
lol) on the page into the the area/box where the picture was to go. (area/box
i'm refering too is a box that when you click on it, it has a line borber and
white dots at the corners and in between the the corners)

So then i proceded to go to >Right click on the Picture box >Format Picture
Colors and Lines >Fill >Color >Fill Affects >Picture >Browsed >Inserted and
finally I clicked OK then OK for the sencond and last time. Now as I
mentioned, you can not see the picture in "Design" view but you can in the
"Preview mode.

I send to rmote and when you open the page this is what you see

I've got to have a little sence of humor, since it's driving me crazy...Hahaha

I've also inserted a "Hit Counter" and this doesn't work either...

One last thing since you have been so nice to respond...Would you happen to
know why my site can not be viewed from a cell phone browser. I've tried
several cell phones and you can not view any thing but what appears to be
again, white boxes with a red "X" at the top right hand corner.....Could this
have any thing to do with "Resolution Settings".....???

Thank you much Ron for your sincere kindness to man kind, especially does in
need and can't afford a real Web Designer...Things are bad here and I'm In a
crunch...My prim line of work is construction and things aren't doing so well
for us here. I guess this is why I need so much for this website to lauch any
day soon.

Again, Thank you

Richie P.

All are either gif, jpg or bmp and none are formated to rgb..Please respond
as i'm deperate to let others know that the site is open...Thank you

.jpg images that are not formatted as rgb will never display in a
browser, .bmp images will not display in some browsers, but will in
others. .gif should display in all browsers.

As I said, a link to a published page will help diagnose the problem.

I have looked at five pages on the site, and do not see any missing
images in IE. However, ALL the downlevel images are missing in FireFox.
Downlevel images are produced when you use VML textboxes and graphics.
These are poor quality .gif images representing the text that goes into
the text boxes. Very important - links in these images DO NOT WORK.
Your navigation is a column of text boxes - so even if the images did
show, there is no navigation in FireFox.

I do see a complete mess on the home page, where text boxes and layers
are overlaying each other. The page is not fit for publication.
Strangely, the page layout in Firefox is fine - just no content there to
read because the downlevel images are missing. They have not been
uploaded.

Your first step is to remove all the VML text boxes and absolute
positioning, and lay out the page using tables instead. This will
remove the overlapping.

See http://www.rxs-enterprises.org/tests/vml-graphics/ for more
information about not using VML.
