How can export my columns from excel and make them my fields in ac

I have 209 items in one column in an excel spreadsheet. I want to make each
of those items a field in access. How do I achieve this and how many fields
are allowed in an access table?
 
The maximum number of fields for a table is 255. I suggest using the
Transpose command in Excel to put those 209 items into separate columns, then
import the data into Access. To Transpose, select all 209 items, Copy, then
Paste Special with the box for Transpose checked.
 
I have another question, I exported the columns into access and they went
into one record. Instead of it being a record, how can I have each item a
field item?
