How calendaring works?

I have been having problems with trying to figure this
out. Where do I start with this. I have looked
everywhere for documentation. Getting bits and pieces,
but I think that I am missing the big picture. We are
all using Outlook 2000 or 2003. We are running Exchange
Server 2000. Can anyone point me in the direction that I
should be going< mainly where I should start. I know
that I should use group sheduling and when I try, I don't
see anything on the other users calendar and when I try
to enable permissions through tools, the permissions tab
is greyed out. Any insight would be great.

Where you should start depends on what you want to do. If you don't see
anything on other users' calendars, make sure they're using their Exchange
mailbox as their default store and not a .pst file.
