Hi,

I have made a 5GB root partition for my Windows 2000 server. I found it has
been filled up recently, however I didn't install anything in it. Except I
have configure it as a DHCP server and running ISA.

All I want to ask is how many space should I reserved for a Windows 2000
server root partition is most suitable?

Thanks!

It honestly depends on several factors. What role the machine will play,
how much space you have going in to the installation, what services/programs
will be running on the machine ,etc.

I would say that 5GB is too small, 10GB would be more reasonable as a
minimum for a server.

Agreed. I normally use 10GB for the size of the boot volumes in my W2K
Servers.
