Hi All

how big is the windows folder in Vista? is it 15GB or is there some give?
I have 14.6 GB partition, will it install?

thanks

The Vista install requires that you have a minimum of 11.3 GBs free space,
but the actual install uses about 8 GBs of hard disk space. I would
recommend going with 15 to 20 GBs free space. 20 GBs preferrably.

phew, thought I'd wasted 3 hours of downloading there!! thanks for the info
Andre.

I'm on a laptop and had to do alot of clearing up to clear the 14GB so I'll
have to make do with that. Don;t need many apps installed on vista anyway,
just want to see what the OS has got!

cheers

Hi Gerry!
I installed Beta2 on my second hd. The partition had 10 gigs free, now still
more than 2 gigs. No problems so far. Anyway, I'd suggest to have at least
15 gigs or so, depending on what you're going to install and whether you
have or have not a second partition for huge apps (which will most likely
copy some files to your windows drive anyway).
