Hi,

I know that Vista home can not join a 2003 AD domain.

However, is there a way for me to allow a vista home machine (that is
directly connected to the network) to access files that are being hosted on a
2003 machine?

If yes, what do I do regarding the fact that the files are in a folder that
has permissions set up that only some users have access to it. (I have an
username that does have access)?

Thanks

You can't do anything if your user account on the Vista computer doesn't
have access on the server. You'll need to ask the systems administrator to
add your user account/password (so it matches what is on the Vista machine)
to the server and adjust permissions on the shared files accordingly.
