My basic movie is done but needs better narration in spots and I'd like
to add music. My book on Windows XP doesn't cover this procedure very
well. How do you do it?

Drag a your music file onto the Audio/Music track at the bottom of the WMM
screen. You can then position it according to where you want it to start.

Also, see my reply to "editing music clips" about editing sound files.

As far as narration, I'd say you should record it through a microphone
plugged into your sound card and use the Windows XP Sound Recorder under
Start/Programs/Accessories/Entertainment. If you record your narration
separately you can use a WAV editor to mix it with music or other effects.
Then you can place the whole thing on the Audio/Music track in WMM. You may
want to try this in small chunks to get the timing right for matching up the
narration/music and video.

Hope that helps,

PJ
