how access the files which are on another machine in network using vb

I need to access the files & folders from another machine which is in
the network
then how can i impliment it in vb 6
Is there any API

Are you after network shares ? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_share)

You have nothing special to do. Just open the file using a mapped drive
letter or the UNC notation (\\server\myshare\myfile.txt).
