Hi! I was wondering if anyone knew a quick way to change from all CAPITALIZED words to all lowercase words. I have to cut parts from a document that is all UPPERCASE and I need to paste it into a new document, but that document needs to be all in lowercase (save for the first letter of each sentence). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help!

Select the text: Format > Change Case

If something doesn't make sense, it could be worse e.g.

Try "Edit", "Select All" (or CTRL-A); "Format", "Change Case", "Sentence
case", "OK". That ought to fix everything!

Although it is very unlikely that the text is formatted as All Caps (as
opposed to having been typed in with Caps Lock on), first try selecting and
pressing Ctrl+Shift+A. If this has no effect, press it again to remove the
All Caps formatting, then use Change Case as instructed. The advantage of
All Caps over typing with Caps Lock is immediately apparent when you remove
the All Caps formatting: when you type with Caps Lock, Shift gives you a
lowercase character. When you type in All Caps, Shift has no apparent
effect, but when you remove the All Caps property, the letters you
capitalized are still capitalized (giving you true Title Case or Sentence
case).

Shift + F3 toggles between all caps, all lower case and "normal" (i.e. caps after a period.

Shift+F3 offers choices that vary depending on the original formatting of
the text. None of the choices is All Caps, which is a font property, which I
have just been trying to distinguish from UPPERCASE, which is a text
property.
