Hover font help needed

The font that shows up when my cursor hovers over the icons in the address
bar and task bar (on top) has gotten changed to a fancy script. I would like
to change it back and have no idea how it happened or what to do. Can anybody
tell me what to do? Thanks!

I would guess that was your font choice for "Active Title Bar". Control
Panel, "Display", Appearance tab, Advanced button, set "Item" drop box to
"Active title bar", see font setting. You probably want Ariel font.
