Don

I've had this problem before, but can't remember what I did to fix it. I am
using hover buttons in the contents frame, and within Frontpage on the
developemnt computer they show only as empty boxes. However, on the host
they show ok. I'd sure appreciate some help with this.

Thanks,
Don

The problem is that hover buttons are Java Applets, and MS
no longer includes the java runtime with windows. All you
need to do is to go to Sun's website and install it. Then
they should appear

However, as Windows no longer includes it, most new
computers do not have it either

Best Practice- don't use them. Use similiar and more
powerful Interactive Buttons or Dynamic HTML (which utilize
javascript-no relation) to achieve the same effect and more

Dell has been shipping Sun Java with their computers for quite a while, now.

I will change 'most' to 'many' in the future

I don't eat fast-food hamburgers, and I don't use fast-food
computers

I have got to remember to review existing posts before I post. Thanks
Eleanor for the heads up. Guess it's time to convert to using two images
and DHTML.

Thanks to everyone.
