Hourly reminder...?

I need someway to remind me every hour to do something, but would also
like to choose the hours which this is available. Preferably a visual
(picture/text) message with a sound if possible.
Ideas anyone?
 
There are all kinds of third part software that does just that. There is
freeware, shareware and retail. A really good app is not expensive at all.

Any freeware recommendations please...?
 
If you have office use Outlook, if you have Works use MS Calendar. If neither use Task Scheduler and schedule a thing like
cmd /c echo Your Message&mplay32 /play /close c:\windows\media\ding.wav

Type task scheduler to see how.

Didn't want to use calendar in Outlook, because it would be on diary all
day :-(
cmd /c is great. Is it at all possible to have the message pop up in a
dialog box and the sound not open the program but play on its own?
 
This little file pops up a dialog with the system sound for info.

put in TS
msgbox your message
eg
C:\Documents and Settings\David Candy\Desktop\msgbox.vbs Your message

If you can't access the file you need to give yourself permission in OE, Tools - Options - Security - Do Not Allow Attachments To Be Opened

Is it possible to add a message below the title box: "Hourly reminder"?
 
Yost type is after the file name.
eg
msgbox This is what is displayed in the dialog
msgbox Enter your message here.
