FYI. I've been using Hotmail Popper 3.0.0 since February 10th, 2004 and
never been asked to pay.

Mmmm, the site states for version 3.0.2:
The trial is fully functional but will expire after you upload and download
100 messages. If you choose to purchase Hotmail Popper, the cost is $17.50.

The version on Arjan's site works fine for me, but thanks for the info.
