I received an e-mail a week or so ago supposedly from Hotmail Staff about
updating information.When I clicked on the link ( yes I know I shouldn't
have, must have been asleep !! ) it said "Bad Request ( Invalid URL ),no
passwords or other information etc. were given.I am using using Firefox on
XP Pro.
Ever since this time I can't get into my Hotmail account via a genuine link
that works perfectly OK for my wifes account.I sign in,go to the Match The
Picture contraption, fill this out, then it goes back to sign in,Match the
Picture and so on in a never ending loop.
Also since the e-mail every Hotmail folder in OE vanished.I can't delete
this e-mail.I have scrubbed the account, set it up again, deleted all the
Hotmail .dbx files, run every virus scan and spyware/trojan finder I can find
( all clean ),contacted Hotmail ( useless ).The e-mail still returns.
I imagine I have been infiltrated somehow.Has anyone any idea how I can get
rid of this e-mail and get back into my Hotmail account.
Thanks,
