Hotmail not working in Internet explorer

I just formatted my machine, and installed everything on it. I seem to have a problem in using IExplorer. I have a dial up, and when I am trying to go to hotmail website, it shows page cannot be found. Other websites are working fine. when I logon to msn messenger, and try to go into my inbox, and click on it, nothing shows or comes up. When I go to my school web mail, I am able to get in, but cannot compose or send any mails. Could some HELP ME please? it is very urgent and importan

IE Tools>Internet Options>Privacy>Edit> type in

hotmail.com
msn.com
passport.com
passport.net

and Allow All Cookies for each in turn.
