hotfixes and my linksys network

I recently downloaded all hotfixes I could I guess to
update my xp. I strongly regret doing this. My network
would not connect afterwards. After calling linksys, my
networking company, they said they repeatidly get
complaints for the same problem i have gotten into.
microsoft has also openly said it was there fault.
System restore, my only option, has no dates close to the
date of the problem so im screwed for the moment. Can
anyone help me get out of this problem or when an update
is coming out thanks.
