Hotfix

I notice that there a a number of "hotfix" entries when I
open my "Add/Remove" program. Can anyone tell me if
these take up and hard drive space and whether I can
delete them. As you can tell, I am a novice and would
appreciate any advice I can get.

Regards, Michael

Hotfixes" are the updates you installed from the Windows Update
website. Do not be tempted to remove them or you will uninstall
the actual update.

If you wish to safely remove the "uninstall files" for the
Hotfixes (i.e. $NtUninstallQxxxxxx$ files shown in Windows Explorer)
and cleanup your Add/Remove Programs list, visit MS-MVP Doug Knox's
excellent website for instructions.

Note: Doug's program only removes the uninstall files and Hotfix entries
in the Add/Remove Programs listing. It does not remove the
actual updates.

These are updates from Windows Updates. Do not delete them. these are
critical security updates.
