I've just patched 100+ servers for SP4, RCP hotfixes etc.
To verify that they've all installed correctly, I ran qfecheck.exe which is
installed on each server(It took bleeding ages as it can only be run
locally). It returned that a few servers had problems with the RPC hotfix
and suggested I re-install the hotfix.
I also ran KB823980scan.exe, which ran over lunch, and it just confirmed
that the SP and relevant hotfixes were installed. It didn't report that
there were any problems with any hotfix installs.
My questions are:
1. Why doesn't KB823980scan.exe report problems like qfecheck
2. Should I worry abut the errors reported by qfecheck.
