1. HOTFIX 897574 is supposed to provide seven (7) files whose versions and
dates are more recent than what I currently have. However, after running
this, the severn (7) files in question have NOT been changed - they still
have the same versions and dates.
2. The HOTFIX is dated August 23, 2005 which is AFTER the date of SP4 (Nov.
2003) meaning that the versions and dates of the severn files in the HOTFIX
are newer (i.e. more recent) than those that were put in place by SP4.
3. The HOTFIX was downloaded from a Microsoft http site into a generic
download directory which is not within the WINNT directory - is that a
problem? should they be opened from within WINNT?
4. The registry entries indicate that the HOTFIX was run successfully but
this is not the case based on comparing the verions and dates of the seven
files as stated in KB897574 and those that show up on my computer after
running the HOT FIX.
ANY AND ALL HELP GRATEFULLY APPRECIATED.
